DNREC is sponsoring the Delaware Center for Horticulture’s TreeCycle event again in 2026. TreeCycle, where holiday trees are turned into mulch and wood chips, is a family-friendly recycling event to be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10.

A 27-year-old man has been sentenced to prison for his involvement in a 2021 murder that took place in Wilmington, Delaware. Delaware’s Office of Highway Safety’s Sober Rides Initiative Returns for New Year’s Eve Holiday Celebrations

The Delaware Office of Highway Safety (OHS) is encouraging Delawareans to celebrate the new year safely by offering its annual New Year’s Eve Sober Rides program. The initiative provides $20 ride-share vouchers for Uber or Lyft to help prevent impaired driving during one of the most dangerous nights of the year.
