DOVER – The Recycling Public Advisory Council (RPAC) will meet Wednesday, Oct. 19 in Dover at 9:30 a.m. in the Sussex Conference Room at the Delaware Department of Insurance, 841 Silver Lake Blvd., Dover, DE 19904.




2016 Coastal Cleanup drew more than 1,500 volunteers who collected 6 tons of trash and recyclables from 45 sites

This year’s DNREC-sponsored 29th annual Delaware Coastal Cleanup held Sept. 17 drew 1,572 volunteers, who collected 6 tons of trash from 45 sites along more than 75 miles of Delaware’s waterways and coastline stretching from Wilmington to Fenwick Island. About one-quarter of that trash – mostly aluminum cans and glass and plastic beverage bottles – was recycled this year.




DNREC recycling team offers free onsite waste assessment to schools and businesses

DNREC’s Recycling Team in the Division of Waste & Hazardous Substances is providing a valuable Universal Recycling preview in the form of free onsite waste assessments to organizations and schools in Delaware who might want to apply for recycling grants or low-interest loans offered this year by DNREC.




DNREC to hold workshops to introduce new draft universal recycling regulations

DNREC will hold three public workshops in September to introduce draft Universal Recycling Regulations for Delaware. The informal workshops will be held in each county, offering an opportunity to learn about and discuss the draft regulations.
